FAQ & troubleshooting
RokMote can't find my TV
- Make sure your iPhone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open iPhone Settings → RokMote and allow Local Network access.
- On your TV, turn on its fast start (or quick start) option so it stays reachable on the network.
- If it's still not found, pair using your TV's IP address, which you can find in the TV's network settings.
How do I allow Local Network access?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, scroll down to RokMote, and make sure Local Network access is turned on. RokMote needs this to discover and talk to your TV over Wi-Fi.
Why does RokMote need my TV's IP address?
Automatic discovery works for most setups, but some networks block it. Pairing with your TV's IP address — found in the TV's own network or About settings — lets RokMote connect directly.
Does RokMote work over cellular or away from home?
No. RokMote talks directly to your TV over your local Wi-Fi network, so both your iPhone and TV need to be on the same network.
